You may notice mild redness or swelling at the injection site, which typically fades within a few hours. Most clients return to work or daily activities immediately after their appointment.

Botox is a versatile treatment for clients looking to soften forehead wrinkles, smooth fine lines around the eyes, or enhance their smile with a subtle lip flip. It’s also used therapeutically to ease TMJ symptoms, relieve jaw tension, and reduce migraines. Safe for a wide range of ages and skin tones, Botox offers subtle, natural-looking results. 

Botox is widely considered the most effective treatment for forehead wrinkles caused by repeated movement. In cases where deeper or static lines are present, our Collective Beauty providers may recommend pairing it with collagen-stimulating treatments like SkinPen microneedling, PRX-T33, or dermal filler to restore firmness and support smoother, longer-lasting results.

You may start to notice softening in the treated areas within 3 to 5 days as the muscles begin to relax. Full results typically develop by Day 10 to 14 as the skin appears smoother and more refreshed, with reduced movement in the treated areas. Results last an average of 3 to 4 months. To maintain a consistent, natural look, most clients return for touch-up treatments every 3 to 4 months.

Cosmetic Botox is not covered by insurance. While therapeutic Botox for migraines or TMJ may qualify for coverage in certain medical settings, all treatments at Collective Beauty are provided on a self-pay basis. 

Dysport and Botox are both highly effective neuromodulators used to smooth wrinkles and refine facial expression. Dysport tends to spread slightly more, which can make it a great option for broader areas like the forehead, while Botox allows for precise control in more targeted zones. Daxxify is a newer neuromodulator designed to smooth lines and wrinkles with results that may last longer than Botox in some clients. Its longer duration can make it a great option for those seeking fewer maintenance visits. During your consultation, your Collective Beauty provider will explain how Daxxify compares to Botox and help determine the best fit for your goals. 

A lip flip is a subtle enhancement that uses Botox to relax the muscle above the upper lip, allowing more of the lip to show when you smile. This treatment is often chosen to soften a gummy smile or create a more balanced lip shape. Lip filler, by contrast, uses dermal filler to add volume, definition, and structure. Some clients opt for one approach, while others combine both for a fuller yet natural look.
