Chemical Peels Calabasas

VI PEEL

Reveal clearer, smoother and more luminous-looking skin with a customized VI Peel at Collective Beauty Med Spa in Calabasas.

This professional, medium-depth chemical peel is designed to improve the appearance of acne, post-acne marks, melasma, sun damage, uneven tone, rough texture and early signs of aging. With multiple formulations available, each treatment is selected according to your complexion, concerns and individual skin goals.

VI Peel treatments are designed for all skin tones, including melanin-rich complexions, when performed on an appropriate candidate and under the guidance of a trained provider.

Clarity, Refined

Over time, sun exposure, acne, aging and environmental stressors can leave the complexion looking dull, uneven or textured.

The VI Peel works by creating controlled exfoliation and supporting the skin’s natural renewal process. As damaged surface cells shed, fresher-looking skin is gradually revealed, helping improve visible clarity, smoothness and overall skin quality.

The VI Peel may be recommended to improve the appearance of:

  • Acne and post-acne marks
  • Hyperpigmentation and dark spots
  • Melasma
  • Sun damage
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Enlarged pores
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Rough or dull texture
  • Overall skin clarity and radiance

Many patients notice visible improvement after one treatment. More persistent concerns, including acne, pigmentation and advanced sun damage, may benefit from a customized series.

Personalized to Your Skin Goals

No two complexions respond in exactly the same way.

During your consultation, a Collective Beauty provider will evaluate your skin, review your medical history and discuss the changes you would like to see. Your provider will then recommend the VI Peel formulation and treatment schedule best suited to your needs.

Whether your goal is to brighten a dull complexion, reduce the appearance of breakouts, soften signs of aging or address long-standing pigmentation, your treatment will be selected with your skin type and lifestyle in mind.

For more significant correction, VI Peel recommends a series of three to six treatments. When completing a series, treatments may be performed approximately four to six weeks apart, depending on your provider’s recommendations.

VI Peel formulations are designed to be safe and effective for all skin tones, including melanin-rich complexions.

However, no chemical peel is appropriate for every person. Your Collective Beauty provider will evaluate your skin, medical history and risk factors before recommending treatment.

Immediately after treatment, your skin may appear slightly tan, bronzed or glowy. It may also feel tight or dry.

Light flaking may begin around day two, followed by more visible peeling between approximately days three and five. Peeling usually eases around day six and is generally complete around day seven, although every patient’s experience is different.

Visible peeling is part of the expected treatment process. Patients should avoid pulling, picking or manually exfoliating shedding skin.

Most patients find the treatment very tolerable. A mild sensation of warmth or tingling may occur during the initial application but should subside quickly.

Please tell your provider immediately if you experience unexpected or significant discomfort.

Some patients notice improvement after one treatment. For concerns such as acne, melasma, pigmentation or more advanced signs of aging, a series of three to six treatments may be recommended.

When completing a series, VI Peel treatments can generally be performed every four to six weeks, as directed by your provider.

No makeup, sunscreen or other topical products should be applied during the first four hours after the peel solution is placed on the skin.

After completing the instructed four-hour post-treatment steps, makeup may be applied. Your provider will give you detailed aftercare instructions based on the timing of your treatment.

VI Peel recommends avoiding exercise and activities that create excessive heat or sweating for approximately 72 to 96 hours following treatment. Patients who are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or are treating melasma may be advised to avoid these activities throughout the full peeling period.

Follow the individualized instructions provided by your Collective Beauty provider.

The VI Peel may be appropriate for patients who want to improve pigmentation, acne, uneven texture, sun damage or signs of aging.

Treatment may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, following recent isotretinoin use, or in the presence of certain allergies, active cold sores, open wounds, immune-related conditions or recent cancer treatments. This is not a complete list of contraindications.

Your provider will review your health history, medications and current skin condition before determining whether treatment is appropriate.
